Students in years 7 & 8 were been collaborating last term in textiles club to support the international charity “Dress a girl around the world.” They have been designing and making dresses suitable for young girls in developing countries from recycled fabrics and pillowcases. The girls have worked together to learn new skills such as pattern cutting, applique, embellishing and using the sewing machine. These were completed for Christmas and then sent away to be distributed to countries in need. Well done to all of those involved!
