Admission Applications
The Bishop of Winchester Academy welcomes applications for young people of all faiths and no faith for places in our secondary school and 6th Form.
If you are considering making an application you will be able to view the policy below. Applications for admission to the secondary school should be made through the Local Authority Admissions Team, with Supplementary Information Forms being submitted to ourselves.
Applications for admission for primary to secondary transition should be made by 31st October of each academic year to your own local authority admissions team.
Applications for in-year admissions should be made to BCP Council Admissions Team.
For places in our 6th Form please apply directly to the 6th Form at 6th Form Application
Admissions 2023-2024
If your child's date of birth is between 01.09.2011 and 31.08.2012 they will start secondary school in September 2023 and the closing date for on time applications is 31st October 2022.
Applying online is very simple and you will receive a confirmation email once you have submitted your application. To apply online go to the BCP Council website at ww.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/schooladmissions
It is very important that your application is received by this date as you will stand a much greater chance of securing a place in one of your preferred schools.

If your child's date of birth is between 01.09.2012 and 31.08.2013 they will start secondary school in September 2024 and the closing date for on time applications is 31st October 2023.

Admissions 2025-2026
If your child's date of birth is between 01.09.2013 and 31.08.2014 they will start secondary school in September 2025 and the closing date for on time applications is 31st October 2024.
