Rockley College - Careers in the Outdoor Industry
For their Careers Assembly, year 9 students heard from Rockley College to learn how their GCSE option choices could be the start of an exciting pathway to a range of education, apprenticeship or employment opportunities working in Outdoor Industries.
With just about the most exciting classroom there can be, Rockley College offers students the chance to study for a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport - Outdoor Adventure and even the opportunity to become an Outdoor Instructor Apprentice with the chance to work at Rockley's centres in Europe and the UK.
Students get the chance to try out activities including:
sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, powerboating, bell boating, raft building, high / low ropes, climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, walking, orienteering, rifle shooting, tunnelling, tomahawk throwing, archery, team building, expeditions, bushcraft and from this year, skiing and snowboarding.
