When undergoing transition into Secondary school, one of the biggest challenges is adapting to a new environment involving changing classrooms for each lesson. At the Bishop of Winchester Academy, our day is structured into 5 lessons, each an hour long, a half hour mentor time and two half hour breaks (one on Friday).

Breaks and lunches (Canteen)

Our canteen is known as The Hungry Bishop. We serve a range of hot and cold meals including sandwiches and baguettes and a range of snacks. Our canteen works on a cashless system where the students use their student cards to pay for their food each day. In September, students will be issued with a card which can be used for the canteen or printing resources. Parents will receive a login to Squid, where you can add funds to your child’s account.
